Heavier 14” And has a fan…does it it whine?
So an R8K premium over the M1? holy cow
Oh, I thought it was R16K when it first came out. My badWhere do you pull 8k from? M1 Air base model was R20k here when it released afaik
Any difference between the 8|8 and 8|10 chip type?8 core CPU, 8 core GPU, 8gb of unified RAM and the 512gb is where you should be looking.
R29 999,00 is R9 000,00 less than the base 14" Pro, and you won't have slow-down issues of the 256Gb SSD.

Don’t know what the launch price was, but throughout the 2nd half of last year I saw it advertised for R16,999 many times. On special offer though, but still. Then in 2022 it crept up to R17,999 and again to R18,999 where it is right now.Where do you pull 8k from? M1 Air base model was R20k here when it released afaik
For those jobs, even 8Gb will be enough. 24Gb would be overkillAlso does RAM 16GB vs 24 GB make a difference? (dialy driver, document processing, video editing (home videos, nothing professional) and watching streaming, etc)

Is the 14" M2 chip?I'd wait for the official pricing because that looks way out of kilter...
8/10 Core, 16GB RAM and 512GB Storage is only R2,000 less than the 14" Pro which comes with all the ports, a significantly better screen, better CPU and GPU. Makes no sense...
The base M1 Pro (8/14 Core) is still a significantly better chip than this entry level M2 chip.Is the 14" M2 chip?
