Phuk it. I am buying one!!
guys as you know...pics if/when you get it...![]()
That was quick :wtf:Organized trade in today with Mahindra in Goodwood. Finance approved. Now waiting for stock
Me wife said she likes it. Suits us perfectly
Lovely. What is the reason it caught your eye...Off-roading & lifestyle type uses?
Life style. I do a lot of kayak fishing and camping.I have never really been a big off-roader since I never owned a 4x4.
Closest I got to off-roading was getting stuck a couple of times with my car on farms where I fished for carp.
Just one thing that scares me. The soft top.... I still have time to finally my up my mind since Mahindra only gets stock in a week or 2.
For R210 000 you get a new Thar; add R16 000 for a 3 year/60 000 km maintenance plan and R9 000 for a full lockable hard top.
It seems as if there should be a hard top available. Maybe try a different dealer and find out?
Rather surprised with the interest of this vehicle.
If I knew you guys were so interested I would have made a thread months back.

In terms of the Thar, coping with dirt roads is one thing, but if its capable of decent 4x4'ing, then it will do well as a "toy" vehicle for a lot of people.
It 'looks' capable, I'm sure we'll see some offroad tests soon.
My brothers mate had on one of those little Lada 4x4's back in the day and that thing was quite impressive offroad so you never know.
