New Microsoft Edge

Anyone using the new Microsoft edge. I just randomly got a notice about it and wanted to try it out. It's pretty damn good actually. Really smooth when browsing large pages.

I tried to do a search but no one on mybb is even mentioning it

I use it occasionally for testing between Chrome and Brave.

No thanks. Might as well just stick to using the real mccoy. Syncing on a domain connected PC is still a schlep as well AFAIK.

Haven't bothered trying it on my personal laptop. I wonder if chrome add-ons would work on it, or would it need edge specific extensions.

Chrome extensions work and Microsoft even recommends you get it from the Chrome store lol. Quite a turn of events.

Then I wouldn't mind using it. It seemed to work very smoothly. I haven't done any tests so that is subjective, but it seems to load faster than chrome. Anybody done any tests?

Yeah, much better since initial beta release. Mobile phone version is great two and the sync actually works.

Some reviews on youtube shows it about 15% or so faster than Chrome with less RAM usage too.

Give Vivaldi browser a try as well.

All based on Chromium.

I use it at work and my personal laptop. Better than Chrome imo. Also it supports 4K streaming and 5.1 sound which chrome definitely doesn't. Not sure about 5.1 sound though...

I've been using Edge for a while now. The last few days, dstv Now gives an error message when trying to access live TV. This is happening on 2 computers. Chrome is still working fine with dstv.

Opera is my main browser actually. I just happen to see the new edge and well I want to switch to it.
