Sort of. Still very disjointed. Some of the stuff have web apps/wrappers, some have it but then still open some links in a browser. Others don't have.

That is insane, seriously, at some point I am just going to roll over to google docs. But it doesn't surprise me, our rand got fcked really hard, and I doubt it will recover.

LibreOffice is pretty cool. The issue is usually compatibility when read in older versions of MS Office though.

It'll work for up to 6 people and the 1 TB per person OneDrive alone makes it worthwhile in my opinion. All the Office apps are just nice extras.

Can your daughter not get the licence from her school/university? My sister's got access to the entire office suite with her student ms account

I don't mind paying for office(most of the time OEM's bundle the license with the laptop), but Adobe Acrobat is where I draw the line-basic functionality, saving as word, highlighting text, signing, and coverting to jpeg shouldn't be hidden behind a paywall. But luckily, most of this can be done with Msedge and the notes app on phones/tablets.

The thing that pisses me off about that is that you can get it all on a free illegal route instead of the paying illegal route.

@KleinBoontjie this is also a potential route. However, IIRC, the school must be registered with Microsoft and be in the program, which a lot aren't bothered with.
