He's probably still giddy but I think he ended up with this looking at the thread,

Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming Pro ATX -> R2 000 (purchased pre-owned)
CPU: i7-6700 -> R2 700 (purchased new from Potter)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2133 16GB (2x8GB) -> R2 155
Case: Cooler Master CM 690 III -> R1 479
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB -> R6 99
Optical Drive: ASUS DVD Writer -> R214
PSU: Corsair CXM CP-9020103, 650w -> R1 437
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 Gaming 6GB -> R????
OS: Win 10 Pro OEM (from Carb) -> R270
Thermal paste: Thermal Grizzly -> R86

He also had a carry over SSD to use in the build.

Would like to know how much the GPU set him back considering the current shortages.

And all those specs are right ponder. I did have a 256GB Samsung SSD that helped save a couple pennies, I just took it out of my laptop again. And if it matters, I didn't use the Thermal Grizzly paste, turns out the Cooler Master 212X comes with paste in the box so decided to stick with that. Oh, and I ended up getting the a Win10 Pro Retail key, not the OEM one, so it set me back R570 *shrugs* Activated first time, so it was worth it.

Luckily I also had the Dell UDH monitor that I also bought last year, so now everything's coming together nicely.

R5500 negotiable translates to R5300.
