New or pre-owned gaming PC?

Haha yup, was just gonna come point that out :P As for the case, it's a personal decision, I like the looks of the one I chose. Black cases are overrated.

I also deleted the 1060 3GB card after Urban told me he'd stop being my friend if I bought it. He is correct. I've asked Rebeltech if they can substitute it with a 6GB they can source somewhere (which wasn't showing on their website), or else I'll just go with the base build and find a 6GB card somewhere else.

I know and I am the kind of guy that chooses practicality over looks. :) That and I am a bit fan of Corsair products.

Asus over MSI if the price is the same...usually Asus is more expensive. That one is even clocked higher so a no-brainer really.

Rofl. Welllll ... dunno if it helps that I've got an MSI Motherboard. You don't think that improves compatibility maybe?

Ok, what he said ^^^^^ I'm a PC hardware noob and happily so :D

Asus over-engineer...their Strix cards are beautifully-made but then they cost more than anyone else's cards. I'm surprised bunny found a Strix and an MSI Gaming card at the same pricepoint (I think the MSI Gaming isn't the top range...that's probably like a Windforce or something).

Either the Gaming is overpriced or the Strix is being sold cheap.

There are two MSI and 1 Strix available, Strix is on hold though so we shall see what occurs.

From those articles, the Strix launched at $330 and the MSI at $289.

The strix out of the box does perform a bit better but is in no way worth the $40 premium. All these pascal cards perform about the same and will OC to within 100MHz of each other which FPS wise you not going to notice as it only amounts to like 1-2FPS extra.

Aye, but for the same price, Asus every time.

Ok, so my PC is aliiiiiiiiiveeeeeeeeeeee ....

Expert build from UrBaN963:

It has blinking lights and all. Gotta customise the colours still, but this looks promising:

Really liking the white, blue and black colour combo:

And there you go, a happy end to this thread :) Thanks again for all advice!

PS: No clue why the last photo is rotated, guess it's a MyBB thing.

And your first game to break it In?

CS:GO, naturally :D It's the only PC game that my laptop could run without graphics, and I got hooked on the team aspects. Now I can finally play it the way it was intended, and Dust 2 has never looked better to me :)
