New orders - how long will I wait?

Took about 5 minutes to set up (if that long) and have been surfing for 90 mins without a problem...looks like I made the right choice

So today I get a phone call from Telkom - they want to offer me a ADSL line for something like R370 a month with a lot of free stuff included like a modem and free installation and what not...I told the guy to phone me in a year's time as I am tied into a 2 year Neotel contract as Telkom wouldn't install a line for me when I ordered it a year ago!

After all this time, the real question to be answered is whether you still feel you made the right choice ? - many people (residential) seem to have moved away from Neotel.
When you go with Telkom, you should just get the ADSL line directly from them (not through an ISP). Don't get the modem as this will require signing another contract, as far as I know.

In all honesty I can say that I am still happy with Neotel. I've got the 10gig package so it's plenty data and initially the signal sometimes went into red but it hasn't done that for a long time. I've had it for a year now and certainly think it was the right choice, even though I didn't really have an option as Telkom didn't want to install a line.

I needed the line because at that stage my company wanted us to work from home 7 out of 10 working days.

The only drawback is that an ADSL line is obviously faster than wifi, so perhaps in a year's time when my Neotel contract expires I might look at ADSL again.
