New packages from iBurst

In my view, it should look something like this:

G1 = 1500MB
G3 = 4000MB
G6 = 7500MB
G9 = 11000MB

Yep, that looks a bit better with the higher packages getting a bigger chunk of the pie which would actually attract customers, but alas I doubt that iBurst marketing can see that far into the future.

What gets me is that on one hand they advertise and want to attract customers, then on the other hand they chase away existing customers with those crazy prices and odd amounts of "free" bandwidth for the various packages, as well as plenty of connection problems which they don't seem to be able to sort out. <---- this statement is not a ibash it's just the way I see it.

It's as if marketing, management and advertising don't know the other exists, and just go on their merry way doing their own thing.:rolleyes:

errr...don't think so...more like

G1 = 1000MB + 500Mb + 1000Mb = 2500Mb
G3 = 3000MB + 500Mb + 1000Mb = 4500Mb
G6 = 6000MB + 500Mb + 1000Mb = 7500Mb
G9 = 9000MB + 500Mb + 1000Mb = 10500Mb

DarkWater - So you advocate increasing G1 by 150% and G9 by only 17%. Whereas GBM was advocating 50% up for G1 and 22% for G9.

The way GBM posted it even though not the same % per package looks like it could be accepted, but I guess iBurst have their own crazy uninformed way of thinking they know whats best for the customer.

Clarification Please

5 long pages of posts yet none which can give one reliable, definitive piece of information regarding the recent changes in iBurst packages and pricing?
What is going on?

I went and upgraded to the 3G package middle of last month(silly me).Had no idea about the changes that were planned.Well I am on a UTD contract(again..silly me) so no way out of this sticky situation even if I wanted to jump ship.Funny thing is my bandwidth reads at...3Gigs.Not 3.5 or 3.2 or whatever.Just 3. This happened to others.I am in Cape Town.

I have only been with iBurst for a little while now..yet already starting to feel like a cornered animal.
Has anyone out there headed for the door whilst still on contract.Procedure?
Cheers.

OKay well now its:

1G = 2.5GB
3G = 3.5GB (for everyone)
etc

So R389 for 2.5GB is pretty good.. and unfair :/

Well then that means that the G1 subscribers get the same as the rest of us, which is good and makes sense.

Certainly :) 50% increase is quite nice, but I can see how a G9 account with an extra 500mb is not an improvement to be excited about.

I check a friends G1 account this morning, it said 2.5GB, saw it with my own eyes. No carry over either..

A few people posted the e-mail with this info on it, perhaps only for 1G contract subscribers? Which is very weird because the 1G contract is already specially discounted.

Nope...it's the new deal for existing 24Month Contract Subscribers
