The USB ports on my PC seem to be faulty, so I'd like to replace the motherboard, CPU and RAM with something equivalent or better.

Requirements:
CPU: Equivalent or better than i7-3770k
Motherboard: At least 6x SATA ports, M.2 slot, PCI slot if possible
RAM: 16GB

Haven't really been keeping up to date with PC components, so please advise me :)

Boh of the above links are from the same person, PM to see if he has any i7-7700 available else look at the i7-6700. If you want PM me and I'll forward you a wnumber for whatsapp.

Look for the cheapest 2x 8GB 2133-2400MHz sticks you can find. PM Ravi on carbonite, last time I spoke to him he had 16GB value RAM for R2k

You never mentioned a budget.

Oh, OK. I haven't had issues with them, yet. I was actually, just joking with that R26 000 bundle, as I can't seem to find a 6 port SATA MOBO. Wonder what he'll use those for?

I did not follow the link out of fear of contracting an std from their site :D

Thanks Ponder
The budget is as little as possible, but I'd like this upgrade to last at least 3 years, so paying a bit more for decent components is fine.

AMD Ryzen seems a bit more expensive for comparable performance?
Six SATA ports aren't a lot? I'm currently using four, but I like to have options.

Go with the items I listed above then as budget was the main criterion I used while ticking your 6x sata & m.2 boxes.

If you want more future proofing look at coffee lake i7 or ryzen 5/7 but it's gonna cost a lot more. You never mentioned what you use the pc for?
