I want to go to the bathroom with that spec sheet ;) Robbing a couple of banks wouldn't be enough to get it. If you look at one of these though http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sku/10262666/mfg_partno/WS097AA, Workstation GPU's at $5000 a piece, you can only hope that you win the lotto

You sure that's not only for US? I've gotten similar offers from them and it was all restricted to US, blah blah.

Never heard of this, would recommend the tried, tested, trusted Cooler Master Hyper 212+ Evo.

Also surely you could get a screen for that price with IPS technology? Far better than crappy common TN LCD panels.

I've read many reviews on the EVGA Superclock . I was originally going to go with a Hyper 212+ (not Evo) in Push/Pull configuration but by chance I saw a review of this and decided to go with it. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/EVGA-Superclock-CPU-Cooler-Review/1336/6

It might be IPS but I'll have to check on the ASUS site.

In the disclaimer it didn't say anything about that. The only thing restricted to the US was the Free Super Saver Shipping. Dude there is no way amazon is going to give a SA credit.

How would they do a credit check? how would they come after you if you fail to pay?
 
You are putting far too much thought into a simple build in my opinion.

You also seem to want bragging rights over common sense for 7k, if you want bragging rights then drop 30k on a system and let everyone bow down to your l33tness, on 7k you won't have any bragging rights.

Importing is about the most idiotic thing you could possibly do. The difference cannot justify the issues faced when something breaks and the money that will be spent plus the time.

Imagine your mobo goes and you need to ship it. 500-1000 bucks plus 3-4 weeks for replacement if not longer all so you can save a few hundred bucks.

I had a DOA motherboard with my new build now and it would have been a bitch to get it sorted via Amazon, for instance.

I've already spent around 5k on My GPU and hard drives, it worked out far cheaper than buying from here. The GTX 570 in SA already costs around R3 750

Tell me zero how much could you import a 570 for?

Cheapest i could find was 300 dollars x 8 x 1.10 x 1.14 + 20 dollars shipping = 3.4k roughly somewhere there. So how is it cheaper again?

Ok 300 bucks cheaper, is 300 bucks really worth importing?

I have to agree. I would only ever consider this if i was saving a good couple grand, or had some one to bring the stuff over.
Otherwise if it is in SA for a reasonable price, you are just making missions for yourself. But really dude. R7k is low for the CUD you claim to have.

I know this is my first comment in this thread, but I was waiting to see the overall price you end up having to pay with all these imports and duties.

Rather have a look on carbonite for some good deals, that way you usually have the remainder of the warranty and you pay good prices!
