I requested shortly after midnight, and the speed bump happened between 5:30 and 6:30 (ish) this morning. Clientzone shows me being on a 100/100, and also that my account is in arrears with R30 (everything is on debit order). Actual speed also dropped back to 50/50 between 09:30 and 10:30 (ish).Hi,
The reason for this is because we have changed everyone to the new speeds and pricing. The system assumes that you only paid the new price and will charge you the difference. I would suggest waiting a few days for the 1st.
Not sure what the R30 is all about?
Not sure what speed I should expect to the end of the month?
edit: biggest issue is that clients cannot schedule a speed upgrade. it is always effective immediately

Our dev team has completed the changes on our side today. Only upgrades will be processed. The new packages hasn't gone live on Vumatel portal yet.

Is the new Vumatel 200/200 price of R1147 a special or permanent? It seems a bit too cheap compared to the rest of the ISP's

They are permanent prices so long Vumatel keeps the prices as they are.
Not a special from Afrihost, just aggresively priced on their part.
We are not running a special currently and these are our offering on Vumatel.

Are the speed upgrades automatic? Because I manually set my package to 50/50 from 20/20. Then got an unrelated email saying my speed will change to 50/50.
If it is automatic will it now change my pending 50/50 to 100/100? I don't want 100/100.

The speed upgrades are automatic from the 1st of July.
I won't advise clients to switch over now but if they do we will correct the speeds of these client on Vumatel side once Vumatel completes the changes. You will not be charged as we have already moved everyone to the new speeds on our system and started billing run for the invoices to be generated.
Would you recommend I cancel the product change in CZ?
If it's a downgrade it's okay as it will be scheduled.
@AfriNatic speed still up and down. Van somebodybdoba port reset. I Again noticed the slow speed yesterday and today. And yes. I did plug laptop directly into the OTN to test.

@AfriNatic Hi, I left a msg on a different subforum but I saw you're active here so I will ask here. I am due for an upgrade from 50/50Mbps to 100/100Mbps but 4 days later and no go. Could you kindly check on my situation?
