New Router Suggestions

My router is a few years old now, and it has started giving issues the past few months, which have gotten way worse the past week.

So I am in the market for a new router, but I have not looked at these things for a long time, and so dont really know where to start looking.
Any decent ones that people could recommend? From what I have been reading, people dont seem happy with D-Link? Maybe Netgear then?
Although, looking for specific models, not just brands

You could try the Netgear DGN220 which we sell for R995. That includes delivery, and we can preconfigure the ADSL and the WiFi settings for you if you already have an account with us. For that price, you'll get a great deal, if you compare the price in stores. It's also a very popular router becuase it's interface is super easy and it's well supported.

Drop me a PM if you're keen on it :)

thanks for all the advice guys, I think I am going to go with the Netgear DGN2200. Will get it from Afrihost, as well, I trust them more than some of the smaller sites :P

Quite set on a brand like netgear, as it sounds like they are one of the better, more reliable ones.

Also, as nice as VDSL is, I live in JHB south, and Telkom dont give a rats ass about us here. Infact, the best line speed I can currently get is still 4megs. By the time I can get VDSL, I will need a new router any way.

Three TP-links died on me so far. The first one lasted for a year, had it swapped for a new one under warranty in May and bought another router as well. The router died last week and the new warranty swap out died yesterday. Back to my 8 year old trusty netgear till I can get a chance to go back to uniterm. Not that keen on tp link anymore...

Anyone have any experience with a Netgear DGND4000, seems quiet a bit more expensive than the other router/modems listed?

I tried the cheaper router Afihost offer, wireless range is very poor

After the update to 1.70, my D Link 2750u is doing the job.
