New RTX 3070. Low score?

I see that card has lower boost clocks than some of the higher-end ones.

What's the rest of your system composed of?

Also, what's your current cooling solution? i.e., how many case fans, where are they located? What case?

Specs as follows:

Gigabtyte B460M D3H
i5 10400F
24GB DDR4 2666
650 Watt Bronze xfx PSU
 
What FPS are you getting in games at optimized settings at chosen resolution?
 
I Have a palit 3080, was curious to see how on or off themark it is. was quite a bit higher than the baseline.
Initially I was surprised as i dont have the fastest ram or Intel single core processor, though 4ghz clock is fine.

i do think your bottleneck could be your CPU and ram combo.
 
Another note, I saw the 3d benchmarks are dated, meaning crazy high fps (compared to lets say 3d mark). This often means other bottlenecks come into play. maybe your GPU isnt maxxing out in some
 
Synthetic benchmark mean nothing really.

Its more than just the GPU??? ... I have just built a MSI Geforce 3070/i7-12700 build for my daughter ... we are seeing over 22000
