New Speaker advice

Hi all

Need some new speaker advice, looking to be these Microlab M820's they retail for about R600.

I currently have these Creative M2600's but they are quite a few years old already and i by the sound of it, they aint gonna last very much longer.

Now i know Microlab might not be the best, but also said i am not an audiophile... just need decent 2.1 speakers for some casual gaming and music lisetning needs.

I have looked at Logitechs offerings, but they seem quite a tad bit more expensive.
Also i really like these wired remotes and would really like my next purchase to have that as well.

From the specs it doesn't look to be all that bad.

Anybody that has this specific set maybe ?....or some experience with Microlabs products that can share some thoughts and opinions, if it is worth buying, the sound quality etc... will greatly be appreciated.

Well... one of my Christmas presents was a set of these: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/surround-sound-speaker-z506

They're double your R600 budget, but seriously worth every cent. Great subwoofer - I keep this plugged into my TV all the time, and run everything into the TV through an HDMI cable. Job done!
