New technology podcast launched

the problem of course with podcasts are in fact that they are podcasts.

@Cadavre777 unfortunately, that is the sad reality. My podcast is hosted internationally where I pay $10 per month for 250MB revolving storage and unmetered bandwidth. This is something that no local hosting company can even dream to offer.

They really do a great show and it is about time we have another new SA podcast. Gosh, it has been a while since a new SA podcast.
 
If we can find a sponsor to host it locally then I am sure we would move it. But as Pyrit said the cost of hosting internationally is a fraction of local hosting and at the moment our main costs are time and beer, we would like to keep it that way.

It's cool, Yuu. The show is released under a Creative Commons licence. Thanks for making it available on that local FTP server. As Ben said, we'll get it hosted locally just as soon as someone sponsors the bandwidth. ISPs/telcos: this is your chance to get in on the ground floor... :-)
 
It was entertaining but all you guys sound the same to me - how about referring to each other by name a little more? :)

re the beers - it will be a real pity if it goes the diggnation route rather than TWIT.

Good point re. the voices, Bwana. We'll definitely take that into account. And, to reassure you, we are definitely not going the diggnation route with this podcast. This show will be more serious than silly but it will retain an air of irreverence. It's recorded late on Friday afternoons, after all... :-)
 
Best of luck with the show and getting a local host ;) On a second note, feel free to start a poll to which new WordPress theme to use, that looks a bit :( ;) :D :p but I understand it's a start.

Cool :)

I know its a page directly out of TWIT's playbook but how about setting up a del.icio.us account and getting people to post interesting stories?
