New Telkom smartphone SIM-only contract prices

This seems like good value for money.

Even if you disregard the sms's and minutes to fixed line and Telkom numbers it works out to 10c/MB and 70c/min OR 15c/MB and 55c/min.

However, this assumes that you will use all the data and all network minutes allocated. If you send sms's or phone fixed line or Telkom numbers it is a bonus.

How's Telkoms network, as good as the Best Network in the country?
 
Probably the best value for money offering on the market. Problem is their network is terrible.

So for now, I'll continue to be shafted by Vodacom. I have however cancelled all my contracts with them and will remain on prepaid.
 
Rather take a dirt-cheap smartphone for R40 or so extra and get an additional 1GB data (with 1 month rollover) than this.
 
They should have doubled the telkom landline calls or provided unlimited calls to telkom landline numbers. Telkom is losing landline numbers and should have used this package to tempt people away from other networks.

This could have been a replacement for a home line. The data on these packages are pathetic aswell, they could have at least provide 1gb.
 
I like what I see. Simple to understand is always going to be first prize.

...and there call quality cannot possibly be worse the Cell C. So it's win all round in my mind.
 
Don't know if I'm slow... Are these contracts? What do they mean by "plan"? How long are the "plans"? 24 months?
