New Telkom Usage tracker

I am not the only person who has requested more information about this new product on these forums. A number of threads have already been opened if you actually cared to look around before making such assumptions yourself.

No but you are directing your frustrations at the wrong people.

Nice that you heard a date. That means the rest of us should, quite LITERALLY, wait in anticipation without any signs whatsoever. That's bad form on Telkom's behalf and again I stand by my point that they should avoid releasing information about a product which is yet to be released.
I read it here on the forum...

Ok, so will 10210 be able to help provide me with more details about this product then now? Because they failed to do so when I called them 2 days ago after following the TI Tracker advice to do so, after waiting on the line for 15 minutes and being transferred to another department who also had no clue. So who are the right people to contact? As consumers we are quite fed up of the elitist attitude of Telkom and some of its employees. You'd think that if there is a rep on here who is willing to share some insider information at his own discretion, that then this person would be willing to address some concerns from the community too. Excuse me if I was expecting too much then? I am terribly sorry for expecting a reply out of common decency? Case closed

You must be trolling?
Nah bruh, what gave you that assumption?

Well done.
A number of threads have already been opened if you actually cared to look around before making such assumptions yourself.
And why are you not posting in those threads instead of offtopic ****posting in an unrelated one?

The product was 'leaked', there has been no official announcement, nobody is gonna answer your demands, move on you're being an ass.

I am a paying customer. I own a softcapped TI product, and besides for seeing the allegedly "unofficial" announcement which pertains directly to this product (providing me with good grounds to be inquisitive about it), I also see the very same OFFICIAL tooltip message inside my account's usage on the TI tracker as per the OP's post (yes, the first post of this very thread, so how exactly am I off topic, Noah?). The TI Tracker message alleges that this value-added service already exists for my product, and that I should call the helpdesk for advice should I wish to have it activated. As such, I have every right and reason to feel entitled to the service. If the tooltip was a mistake, it should rightly have been withdrawn ages ago, as it is bound to mislead or confuse more customers at this rate. Alternatively, Telkom should be clear about the misunderstanding and propose a definitive new launch date so as to avoid unnecessary speculation. If I had the time to act on principle, I think I would have a legitimate case in my favour as per the Consumer Protection Act as legislated, in that I am not receiving the full worth of what I am paying for for the month of September as per the product's description as stipulated. But right now I couldn't be bothered anymore, because the impression around here is that we should just accept slapgat service uncontested, and move along with our day, right?

Edit: Glad to see that the tooltip "teaser" has since been removed from the TI tracker page until further notice. Logically, this proves that I was not being so unreasonable or "demanding" after all - rather the fundamental error was Telkom's in that they chose to promote an unreleased service as being part of an existing product offering which I happen to utilize; and that furthermore in this context, they also failed to set the record straight or provide us with further sufficient information to propose a more clearly defined release date for said product.

What's new, Telkom? With you guys, everything has always been an uninspiring, no-guarantees "best effort", "take it or leave it" attitude anyway. No wonder everyone has to bribe a techie or plead with the holier-than-thou social media reps in order to get any level of acceptable customer service these days. Quite pathetic? What a waste of precious time, money, and energy that most people frankly can't even afford to, and certainly shouldn't need to waste! Bring on the competition already

Carry on.
Why? I think the point has been made, and I see Telkom have acted accordingly to resolve their error? Thanks for sorting it out, whichever one of you had it arranged :-) Should have happened earlier though.

After a press release announcing the launch of this product, yes I do feel somewhat entitled to some more information by now.

There was no press release, there was no official launch. The article was based purely on the message that was on tracker. The statements in the article that start with 'Telkom said ...' would more accurately have been 'The text on tracker when I highlighted my mouse over the words "integrated data wallet promotion" said ...'.

The features had to go live on tracker for the users that have got it, but they were pre-selected and are part of the initial phase which is also being used to iron out process issues.

I inquired with ranger, but I was completely ignored.

Due to workload, I have been working overtime most of the past week, and haven't read any PMs in that time.

That is what we call false advertising/publicity.

There was no advertising.

Genuine apology then for my harsh conduct. I admit I was too impatient.

Lol, yeah, I realize :/ Well the tracker text was quite compelling of the fact that TI softcap data is becoming an 'integrated wallet' accessible via TM? The notice appeared in my softcap account too, and was announced literally as such on mybroadband, plus I recall you confirming in the threads that it would be rolled out to all TI softcap users in the near future, on a controlled data ratio basis, accessible via TelkomInternet APN... So I guess it's only a matter of time, then? :) That is Telkom's favourite game to play after all xDD

Telkom Internet Entertainment Inactive 210915.jpg

How does one get this activated? :) >> TI Entertainment as highlighted.

This is a 50GB Softcapped account.

Edit: hopefully this is in the right place :p, if this also turns out to not be a mistake , will get a thread going.

Edit2: I see the article is out here :) , oh what timing :D.
