Not that easy to findGet an older, all metal, case. It will save you a fortune![]()
get something like this for the GPU - https://www.temu.com/za/-00028-pc-c...sion-cable-to-connect-g-601100432689886.html?Not that easy to find
But those are actually a schlep to build in.
Only issue is cable management got thrown off with these 3 fans. I'll just have to redo some things again.
Yeah was looking at those on Temuget something like this for the GPU - https://www.temu.com/za/-00028-pc-c...sion-cable-to-connect-g-601100432689886.html?

That it does, though my back of my case is already a mess, but hopefully extensions could make even that easier. For extension cables, that isn't a bad price, but make sure the pinouts are correct and occupied. Not all extensions are compatible with all power supplies. Some are universal, some aren't. Pictures can lie.
Though those do seem to be universal.

Don't get RGB RAM with that cooler and you could get the Maxsun B850 for R3099 at Wootware.View attachment 1846476
Any suggestions for this build? ignore case. 2 questions please. Bit worried about the motherboard, would it be worth to spend an extra R1.5k to get the b850 model? Regarding graphics card, think i am going to hold off for a couple months. I have a 2080 super currently. Is there any compatibility issues with plugging that in the current mobo/cpu?
Decided against the 9800x3d cpu as the extra R5k i could nearly get a 5080 and also just pushes things out of my budget
A 120mm CPU cooler is a bad idea, get yourself a 240mm rather, or just a good air cooler which runs none of the risks of water cooling. Something like a DeepCool AK620, Scythe Fuma 3 etc.
B650 should be fine unless you particularly need a feature the B850 has. Also, I would never buy a Maxsun motherboard. Rather stick to known and trusted brands - Gigabyte is a solid choice.
thanks yes that was just a cheap air cooler not AIO, deepcool one looks good.A 120mm CPU cooler is a bad idea, get yourself a 240mm rather, or just a good air cooler which runs none of the risks of water cooling. Something like a DeepCool AK620, Scythe Fuma 3 etc.

Watch for quality control
It's a decent tower cooler for the price, but watch out for the quality control on the product you receive.
On my version, the cooler is tilted. By that I mean when you look at the cooler from the top-down when mounted, it doesn't align with the motherboard's top heatsink. The cold plate itself is straight and sits over the CPU properly (the cross bar is also straight), but the pipes are subtly skewed, which causes the fin stack and fans to tilt downward - so it doesn't look straight. Amazingly enough, the temps are still in line with what you'd expect.
In my case, I thought I could live with it, but I should have returned it when I first noticed the problem. Unfortunately, some of the packaging was thrown away in the interim, so I'll just rack that up as a lesson learned![]()
Depends on the chip you're going to be using, I mean a 105w chip will be fine on the vrms. The A620 is comparable to the AK620. It is only really with Intel CPUs that the Deepcool cooler seems to have more headroom. I know this because I own all these coolers. However, the A620 doesn't have good RAM clearance. The A620 PRO has better RAM clearance. I also know that the non-pro version has slightly better build quality than the pro version, and it doesn't come in black. Fans aren't the same unless that has been revised by now.
For some reason, everyone says that the Fuma 3 is better than the Mugen 6 (Black Edition). From my experience, they are the same. The Mugen 6, though, is quieter, and both have 100% RAM clearance. I think this is due to the perception that dual-tower coolers are better than single-tower coolers. They don't like high-end wattage processors. For the 9600X, its heatsink will be more than enough.
Maxsun motherboards only really suck when you don't have enough air moving through your case. Then again, that is applicable to all motherboards.

I got myself the Pro wifi, it's a pretty solid build, it's probably got better feeling than my older B450 Aorus, yes the DAC isn't the latest but it's the same as what I had and doesn't sound to bad. It's a real pity we don't get sound cards here anymore.I had a look at the boards on Wootware. The Terminator B850M Pro WiFi has ample power stages, and it is better equipped with heatsinks than the other models that I have seen. How good it is with heat dissipation, I don't know.

Hmmm. It is odd how they put the "Based on 105W mode operation" in there. Yeah, don't overclock with this board.
The B850M Pro WiFi doesn't look bad. I also read that Maxsun doesn't release new BIOS updates. Uhm, well, they do, it is on their website. I mean, Gigabyte really likes to take its time with new BIOS updates. Then there is ASRock which has built its brand on its superior VRM, yet, they are plagued by Ryzen deaths.
From having a look, the only Maxsun board that I would consider is the B850M Pro WiFi. At a quick glance, they do use older controllers and codecs on their board, and that is likely to bring down costs. You won't have something like a strong DAC on the board. For most users, it doesn't matter. The audio should be good enough. I still use an old LGA 775 H97M-E chipset. It is more than a decade old, and I haven't had audio, networking, or any other controller issues.
At this point in time, with the Chinese spreading their marketplace awareness, more and more odd brands will become known.
Also, the Sapphire B850 board launched in China today. Not long until it goes global.
To each their own. For some Asus is rocksolid, some msi .. and the list goes on.Rather stick to known and trusted brands - Gigabyte is a solid choice.

My complaint on it, the rgb software sucks, it has two rgb headers on the board but can't control them separately.
Will also see how the Soyo B550m I got from Temu is going to be, I mean for R1100 for a B550 for a 4650G it should be fine.
The A620 Pro SE is what I got for my 9700x and it runs really well, luckily I checked RAM clearance cause the ddr5 sticks sit underneath like under lightning.
Oh also the fans and lights don't come on when you first turn on, plus there's no pc speaker for beeps, but it does have LED indicator to show faults.
Plus back in the day those weren't the ones we would go for. Even Asrock was a board people didn't go for.To each their own. For some Asus is rocksolid, some msi .. and the list goes on.
Personally, had asus/msi die on clients several times. Gigabyte I avoid 100% nowadays, always some issue.
