New to crypto

To all the newbies out there (not you) remember to take some profit.

My advice in a situation like this is where you doubled your money cash out half so you can let it run risk free. When it doubles again cash out half again then just forget about it and enjoy your profits.

This happens often in crypto but often ppl get very very greedy and dont cash out at all till its too late.

The problem and where I've screwed myself most is buying back in and then trying to get the best deal only for it to go up and ultimately being worse off for having cashed out.

I think you're on the wrong thread then because this headline says New to Crypto :D I would be too scared to leave that amount on the exchange when I am still brand new to crypto.
I leave far more than that on the Exchange permanently...

Just don't use shitty too good to be true exchanges...especially not the ones trying to undercut with pricing because that means they are taking shortcuts all over the place to sustain themselves.

All comes from learning. ONce im out of a coin im usually out for good nailed the absolute peak of XRP years ago that was my first taste of all of this :)

Needed to buy via CEX and Poloniex back in the day

I gave good boundaries - I do the same on the bigger exchanges the likes of VALR, Binance, Kraken, Bybit

Altcoin is meh not sure why you wanna use them anyway.

To throw a spanner in the works where did you buy the nano x from?
Takealot. I was hesitant at first but the Ledger app always checks the Nano when you plug it in to see if it is authentic

oi just make sure you are comfortable with a third party seller and not direct as these things can get hacked etc

It would have been ideal to have bought directly from them. One thing you needed to do is ensure there was no "tampering" prior to opening that.

The world of crypto is awesome BUT its all about you taking responsibility for every action. There are no do overs here.

Ppl lost millions due to incorrect addresses or even spaces being used.

4x check everything you do.

bought mine direct, took forever and a day to deliver and got stuck at customs so long it might as well have been compromised

in hindsight I think I would have gone with an authorised reseller instead to speed things up, assuming the "authorised" bit means something, three of them to choose from in ZA:

Yea some of those models was designed as a tamper proof device

Too find the the easiest way to tamper is just to set up the wallet print out a nice card with your recovery phrase (which was suppose to be blank)

If the person receiving it did not know better they just start using it

Then wait patiently for the balance to increase and then cashing out is like selling a token take profit now or wait for more

The Ledger app always verifies the authenticity of your Nano each time you plug it in

Hi All, please may I just double check, I read the article about Binance, opening in South Africa, I need to bring USDC in from the Arbitrum network, is Binance the only exchange that supports this locally (or is bridging legal as long as you are trying to get funds in and not out? )Then I can bridge and take it to a local exchange I am already on), and can we as South Africans, now register an account on binance I know a while back it was stopped. (I know and will most certainly comply to all TAX obligations).

I don't know too much about binance, but valr has a usdc/ZAR market. If you don't have a valr account yet, DM me for a referral code
