New to crypto

Yea may have to do a double hop withdraw to an exchange that supports the network and then once there withdraw via network supported/exchange to something listed/supported on local exchanges

That would be super, I would be happy if that was possible. The reason I posted to original question is because I thought it was illegal to send to an exchange that is not local, else I will just bridge it from Arbitrum to Polygon, as I understand altcointrader supports polygon, and Ethereum L2 fees are quite reasonable. Do you perhaps know if bridging/swapping is legal to get it to a locally supported token/network? To clarify the funds originated outside of SA, so it's not a case of sending them originally from SA.

No insight to the legals

As far as i have it it is all about preventing moving the money out of SA that the limitations is about

If it is originating from outside no idea how the regulations are about that

if you move coins of a local exchange to a private wallet , your coins aren't residing in the country or any country technically

Legislation are made by those that have no clue and getting an answer is kinda impossible , like importing

When i tried that most said the easiest way to get an answer is to import a trial shipment see how they classify it and go from there

Creating a tax event without knowing the consequences i can imagine is crap

I gave good boundaries - I do the same on the bigger exchanges the likes of VALR, Binance, Kraken, Bybit

Altcoin is meh not sure why you wanna use them anyway.
Please can I double check with,Do you perhaps know if we can now register on binance as SA citizens? I know it was not permitted a while back? (I am looking for a local exchange that supports Ethereum layer 2 in specific Arbitrum and Polygon)?

Not sure but I think so.

I don't think there's anything preventing you from opening an account with them. I have one, and know of many others who do to.

BTC has been dropping all week, down to R515k now. Will buy more when it dips to below R510k, hopefully, next week.

the difference between 515 and 510 is so minimal it doesnt even matter. only time this matters is if you buying 100 btc at a time...

Those that can't do often teach

Is there a place for gaining insight into regulatory bullshit

YEA

But more often than not those in a specific field, can't learn new trick from someone not in the specific field

They say the best referees are on the side lines , but are they?
