New to crypto

Zephyr protocol aswell. Bought near the floor at 1.40usd. now sitting at 5.50usd.
To all the newbies out there (not you) remember to take some profit.

My advice in a situation like this is where you doubled your money cash out half so you can let it run risk free. When it doubles again cash out half again then just forget about it and enjoy your profits.

This happens often in crypto but often ppl get very very greedy and dont cash out at all till its too late.

Thank you, much appreciated

Good advice. Usually, I take what I invested and leave the profits. Ps. Also cpu mining zephyr on the side. Lots of kaspa miners comming online ruining my ks0's profit.... Luckily it paid itself back in about a month

I need to update my will soon. How do I leave crypto to someone in my will? I'm getting mixed reviews on Google

Such a hard question actually

Suppose it depends if it is earth shattering money or not

Many have lost access to their own encrypted drives , trying to make the security too hard , making it so hard they could not remember it time doesn't just heal all wounds it makes password remembering hard if odd

How tech literate the receiver is might dictate how you go about it

Easy. Just leave them the mnemonic phrase for the wallet your crypto is stored in provided you actually use a wallet for cold storage instead of leaving it on a exchange which is dumb.

Thank you, I suspected it was just leaving your 24 word mnemonic phrase behind. I would never leave anything on the exchange, ever. Always on my Nano X Ledger.

Meh - I leave 50-100k at a time on exchanges.

Its very silly and many times costly moving over small amounts. Like sub R1k for example

I think you're on the wrong thread then because this headline says New to Crypto :D I would be too scared to leave that amount on the exchange when I am still brand new to crypto.

Not wrong thread at all.

You will see all your crypto vanish in transaction fees if you moving R200-R500 eth/btc at a time.

I like your advice, don't leave us newbies here alone. I was only joking.

Depends On exchanges , if they batch transactions and thus offer cheap transaction/withdraw fees it is fine

But yea ending up with tons of small utxo's will see a big chunk lost when eventually consolidating ie massive transaction fee

Transaction fee isn't amount based it is transaction size related more utxo's means bigger transaction payload

So it is actually a good idea keep small amounts on exchange if you DCA and only move when a bit more

Do consolidate wallet when fees are super low

Or keep it as it is for privacy as long as you know the tradeof

Ok so not all cryptos are available in the same wallet? You need to choose a wallet for the crypto you want.
So I have a metamask wallet and want to swap ETH for ADA, but to do this I need to create a new wallet, say for example on CoinBase. Is that then a CoinBase wallet, finish klaar? Then either go through exchanges to get my ETH from MetaMask over to CoinBase or purchase on CoinBase?

If I have a cold storage device, can I store these multiple wallets on 1 device?

Not sure. I bought the Nano X and it supports many crypto coins. I haven't bought anything yet. I set up my proton.me email account and I opened an account with altcointrader.co.za I deposited R300 into the account and the fee was R1.50. I have R298.50 left to buy btc which I will do later this week. I don't trust the malware on my work computer. I am just testing the waters and seeing how the whole process works and what the fees are going to be. I will save each month 5% of my net salary and put that into a separate savings account. Every 6 months draw that out and put it into altcointrader and then buy btc from there. Currently hoping to buy R10 000 crypto every 6 months. And move it off the exchange

To throw a spanner in the works where did you buy the nano x from?
