hi all

so i have been watching all this, and eagerly want to buy myself some ICO presale 'coins' , for staking purpose.

how the h3ll do you get this done? nedbank fails, the payment declines because of expiry date, lol, the card is used all the time online. called them, they said i input the data wrong.

Then, fnb via PayPal, high and low PP claims how easy it is, found out crypto is not supported yet in my country.

I can purchase the presale ICO with ETH, but i can not find a decent exchange that works with a single payment/ or via a wallet.

I signed up to coinbase, can't do it there either, the functionality is missing.

Where does "everybody" buy their ETH ?

Ate you located in SA

No idea which overseas exchanges you would be able to buy crypto via credit card

You can deposit via EFT into SA exchanges

VALR/LUNO ETC

then trade ZAR for eth

Though i would caution anyone that struggles to buy the well known ones like btc/eth from buying some ico /staking coin
As it can get technical at times

Jumping in the deep end first outing isn't ideal

Smells like a bot to me.

Soon they will post some links to some Crypto Exchanges (scam sites) that they found works for them.

I opened a luno account, i see i need to deposit money first, then buy ETH in their app.

Can I send that ETH then, to my coinbase wallet ?

Yes but sending XRP etc. will be cheaper. ETH fees are high https://www.valr.com/invite/VAQUJKDJ has more coins.

Open Luno or Valr account.
EFT funds to that account (they give you an address to EFT to).
Buy ETH on Luno / Valr exchange or instant buy (instant costs a bit more).
Send ETH wherever you want.

i have no idea on the regulations, though so moving it to a coinbase account will probably be seen as moving funds out of SA

you can send the eth to an exchange of your choice
but if buying erc20 token etc you definitely don't want to be making deposit from an exchnage account

ie normally the erc20 token is sent to the address the eth deposit originates from
if done from an echange they would then receive the token you bought

so you want to be doing such deposits from your own wallet (not your exchange wallet)
since that isn't technically yours it is a custodial wallet they just recoqnise any eth sent to that as yours any tokens they pull up their shoulders

ie you need to have a wallet where you hold the keys to be able to transact any tokens

and then also to get to grips of how the tokens are handled
i just mention erc20 as that is the only one i know about, not well versed in tokens standards

there are other standards even on eth

I thought you're doing the ICO thing. Why do you need ETH in coinbase?

hi, yes indeed, that's the plan, so you can only buy the presale ico with btc or eth (and other known currency too, but I'm not familiar with them) . there is no direct card payment that works for me, as stated before, the transaction simply declines.

it does not have to be in coinbase, that's just the one i have setup, but if it works directly from luno, that would be awesome

Please stay away from all these things for now especially if you new just stick to ETH and BTC if you new and dont know what you doing you will likely get burnt...

On the one hand I cringe a bit when someone is already struggling with the eft and they haven't even got to setting up a ERC20 wallet. On the other hand I suppose the only way to learn is to **** up and try again. But ja I had my ICO fun a few years ago and will never bother again. Absolute waste of time trying to make a 1 in 1000 gamble about something being a success and your ICO tokens worth something.

New to crypto just buy ETH and BTC and only when @Snyper564 gives the nod
