The newest version of HTC's touch is here..just a few months after their last Touch

It looks frikkin cool and the new interface (TouchFLO 3D) is pretty great, it seems to use Opera 9 mobile as its standard browser (no PIE :)), a dedicated GPU for graphics (so no TouchFLO 3D ROMs for your ole Touch), has a sweet music player (coverflow-ish) and has superfast HSDPA 7.2

Still sure you want that Xperia?

Awesome indeed, and pretty cool form factor at only 11mm thick. Wonder how much it's going to cost, though?

Looks great. Wanna try one out asap.

Dunno... But I'm going to sell my Tytn II to get one :)

What's the difference between the Touch and the Tytn?

Edit: Ah, never mind. I was thinking of the S710 compared to the Tytn

Actually I think there a couple of uber handsets making their debuts shortly, Nokia N96, SE experia X1 and HTC diamond.

Maybe I will get one from UK when my friend is going there in July. But I need to see some reviews first before I make up my mind.

Hmm... I have been wanting a Tytn II to replace my original Tytn... :D
Yeah I did just that and to be quite frank I should have simply stuck with the Tytn. I'm not convinced that there is a significant difference between the 2... In fact other than the tilting screen and the 3.15MP camera vs 2MP I don't know of any other difference. Yes the Tytn II uses WM6 but that version is also available for the Tytn... The processor on the Tytn II is supposed to be quicker but I could swear it's the other way around or so it seemed when I compared the 2. The Tytn just felt sharper and more responsive than the Tytn II. Could be driver related. I've read somewhere there class actions against HTC for releasing a handset with half baked drivers... (but don't quote me).

Prob end of this year or next year. Or it won't come....

Personally that Diamond thing looks like a blingy remote control.
You could probably program it to turn on the tv yes:D

I think it looks a bit like Clark Kents cousins space ship in Smallville (I forget her name now, that blonde super girl)...

I must say I like it...

HTC Tytn II under performing, fact or fiction?!!

http://www.htcclassaction.org/

our really expensive HTC phones (the TyTN II is about $700) are grossly underperforming. In fact, in many things, these devices operate even slower than HTC's (and competitors') two years older models - see the videos under navigation for demonstrations, especially the TomTom video (TyTN II vs Magician) is a terrific example.

The drivers (small pieces of software that govern your device's hardware) in question are responsible for all drawing operations. This means absolutely everything having anything to do with putting something on your screen is affected. This includes normal programs, video playback, games, taking pictures, etcetera. If it's on your screen, it's affected. This makes the devices feel really slow and unresponsive.

There is also a problem with the touchscreen driver, which predates the driver issues mentioned above. This issue comes down to your device slowing down to a crawl whenever you touch the screen. This is really apparent when you are playing a video and use an onscreen slider to adjust the volume, for example. When doing this, the video will as good as halt.
