So im looking into buying a new TV, i currently have a plasma, a 42” Samsung.

I want to buy a LED, the one i’m looking at is a 50” 3D LED Hisense, its priced AR 8k which i think is a superb price, its 120HZ.
Does anyone own this TV to give me a review or some feedback?

The reason why i want to get a LED is because the picture quality is something amazing (compared to plasma)
The one thing i enjoy about plasma is the image does not stutter, i have not seën if this LED will stutter, but as far as the normal 50hz TV’s goes, it hurts my eyes to a degree that i cannot watch. I have seen the 200HZ LED’s which does not stutter at all, but have not seen a 100hz (not to mention 120hz) to make my own conclusion.

It will be used for bluray’s and Xbox/PS3

The plasma i will keep for normal TV

Hisense is good. And its made in SA. I have only seen demo's but it looks awesome. I think it comes with a 5 year guarantee?

Try find a Samsung series 6 LED, a 46" should come at around that price. They are being phased out so you might get a good deal.

nope, not even close :P
the 40" comes in at about that price,

i'm thinking of going for the 40" then, 400hz, bloody hell that must look good.....

I would advise going into a store and finding out and bargaining. I can tell you that e.g some of the computer suppliers are selling the 46" series ES6200 for below 6k ex vat so somewhere there must be a good deal.

Just looking online, Makro has the 40" series 7 for the same price that Dion Wired has the 6 series.

That 7 series looks pretty nice, does anyone have any experiance regarding this model?

i honestly dont know where or who your supplier is for the 46" ES6200, no where can i find it at that price range.

No it's not.

Tell us which model you have, and which LED-LCD you've compared to (and where).

I have the same samsung you have (or had), the 42" HD ready, can’t remember the model number, can probably find it if you really like, but im pretty sure its the same one you had about 2years ago.
Normal SD looks great, and even 720p looks good, but just walking through Dion Wired, looking at some of the LED models, you cannot compare the plasma i/we have to that, the colors are crisp and brilliant, the only thing of putting was the stuttering between scenes (which strangle none of my friends can see besides me)

They're all set to Torch mode - Dynamic mode, maximum brightness, contrast. All finer details, colour shade differentiation, differing colour tones within colours etc. are washed out.

No one uses this in their home (dimmer lighting, night time viewing etc.) for picture quality.

It's simply a case of, on the shop floor, the consumer mistaking brightness for being better.

Samsung series 6 e6200, you can pickup for around 8k.

I'm very impressed with mine , HD and decent quality SD looks very good.
You will need to do some serious picture and quality adjustments though, using Samsung's dynamic and other pre-tuned settings made everything look really awe full.

after a week of fine tuning my TV is now brilliant.

Not a tough call at all.. the one is 11" bigger at the same price.

well lets just Pinnacle were doing the 46" series 6 for a cheap price....not sure on stock though.

The one is a series 5 (plasma) campared to a series 7(LED) ?
Its also not the same price, the plasma is about 1.5k more expensive.

Perhaps post the prices next time. I paid R7900 for my PS51E550 2 weeks ago. I doubt the UA40ES7500 can be got for 6.5K...

Please share where you bought the PS51E550 for R7900 ??

Dion Wired.... well I showed Game the dion wired website page where it's shown as R7900 and they matched it... so actually game. I mentioned it in the TV bargains thread but you'll struggle to find stock.

Dion Wired does not have it on their website anymore

Game has the PS51F4900 for 7999, but its not FullHD
