New TV

Hi all, I'm in the market for a TV and a bit confused between the Hisense 70M7000 and Samsung 70KU7000. What's pushing me towards the Hisense is that it does HDR, is backlit and has a wide colour gamut. Does anyone have any experience with that particular Hisense model. Also does anyone know when the new models are due of both Samsung and Hisense? TIA

Not sure about the Hisense, but be very careful with the Samsung KU7000 series. Only 1 out of the 3 HDMI ports is HDCP 2.2 certified, which means that you can only get 4K on one device plugged into it...

Thanks Mike.
So I took the plunge and got the Hisense. Colour me impressed! These brands have come a long way with picture quality. Its not about to set any new records but its a very good TV. Handles motion pretty well and because of the backlit panel and local dimming, blacks are really black and no bleeding :) The only flaw i found was some minor dirty screen effect which I've had in almost all my screens including the big brands but thats about it really.

Hisense doesn't do proper HDR all the specs I've seen show 300nits or 330 cd/m2 or thereabouts.

I am still on the market for a new TV.
