Have you had any freezes?? I have had to power down my Pace at least one every 2 to 3 weeks! Seems to get less responsive over a period of time...
I've obviously had quite a few on the Pace but I've had it since launch. Think I've had 2 so far on the UEC that have needed a reset
Agree, i think I'm going to slowly clear the Pace HDD & then format it

In the interest of full disclosure, MC are currently investigating the claim that the UEC decoder can display 1080p while the Pace decoder can not.
As per their technicians, both are capable of providing 1080p output while neither are capable of actually receiving a 1080p broadcast signal.
According to the Pace documentation, it only supports 1080i but as mentioned, MC are investigating the validity of that information.

They have confirmed that they have no short or medium-term plans to start broadcasting in 1080p anyway though, so for now, the point may be moot.

Okay, the final word from MC is that once clarifying with both Pace and UEC, it was determined that only the UEC model is capable of 1080p output.
However, neither device is capable of decrypting a 1080p signal, so the point is moot.

The only way you would benefit from the 1080p output of the UEC is if they allowed/activated the 3rd-party connectors, which they won't. (For now, in my opinion.)

So to clarify, yes the UEC model is able to output a 1080p signal but is unable to receive a 1080p signal other than from the 3rd-party connectors (USB/Ethernet).
