I would LOVE to hear Vodascum's response to this one!
So, last night my wife put her phone down as she sat down at the table next to where I was sitting.
Almost immediately a pop-up message appeared on her phone (bear in mind that I have never received any pop-up messages from Vodacom - ever!) so I picked up the phone to cancel this obvious spam SMS.
However:
I pressed the CANCEL button and immediately thereafter another pop-up appeared: DO YOU WANT TO CONFIRM YOUR SUBSCRIPTION TO XXX* @ R5/day???
* La-Linua or something.
No amount of pressing the cancel button would remove the message (always on top). Even trying to switch between screens didn't work!
Before I could take a photograph from my phone (before attempting a screenshot on her phone, if at all possible) the wife restarted her phone.
Then it struck me: This was probably the same thing that led to the previous 2x deductions from 2 x different WASPs that Vodascum insists that was subscribed to by the user via the internet (which she never uses her phone for, or those pesky non-existent teenagers that we don't have!)
