New Vodacom LTE devices

finally ... will the real S3 please stand up :)
now if only fnb will get this S3, so I can get my new phone now or will have to wait a month to port to voda if cell c does not play catch up

I've been using this "LTE" S3 for a few weeks now and must say, it's the best Android device I've used. 4.2 is really as smooth a butter.

A price would be nice!!!
LTE S3 with 150MB, 115min, 150SMS's per month + another 1GB per month for the first 3 months = R449
LTE Note II with 150MB, 115min, 150SMS's per month + another 1GB per month for the first 3 months = R449
Note 10.1 with 1GB/month = R449

lol at the "LTE"
;)

Not meant that way :) Meant to differentiate it from the non-LTE S3.

But my "LTE" S3 does say 4G on the back. And my Nokia 920 "LTE" handset insists in all the menus that it's a "4G" phone. ;)

Slightly off topic, Jannie, but why on earth do you guys throw in so many SMS's? Anyone with a smarphone use WhatsApp or something similar. You should have no more than 30 sms on these bundles. By the same token, you can reduce the cost of the contract or add data for the same value of the 120 SMS's

Not really. Most people (by far) still SMS.

Remember not all Smartphone users are the myBB types (i.e. you and me) :)

Then perhaps make a different type of smart package where the subscruber can decide what he/she wants. Let data, free talk minutes and sms's be a choice against a sliding scale. Where the more you choose, the cheaper it becomes. And a cap on data so you don't go OOB. With this, the subscriber can choose what devise he/she wants the price of which gets devided into 24 and added to what he/she chose wrt data, minutes and sms's.

I believe the LTE version (i9305??) of the S3 has 2GB or RAM and only comes in 16GB format? Also i read somewhere that it doesnt have a radio tuner either, unlike the "regular" i9300 S3?

Despite what you want, Shameel has said and AKC has demonstrated at Cell-C it is not in Vodacom's interest to keep things simple as the latest double your summer promotion can attest.

jannie, maybe you can enlighten us on this, also wondered about the radio tuner exclusion?

I did not see a radio tuner on mine, but then never looked for it. Will check.

In any case, you should be streaming radio on a S3!
