New Vodacom website still being fixed up

Glad to see this article. I wrote to their customer support (which i thought was useless but did it anyway) as well as made a comment or two in these forums. I thought that no one was hearing us. lets hope they fix it.

The new site is not great at all. So i can't see how fixing it will help me on that front but the most important part to me is the data it provides me regarding my account and usage. Vodacom4me was pretty good at that (could have looked better but it worked). The new site is so broken in that respect and it is scary how they manage to take such a leap backward.

Anyway, here's to hoping that Vodacom4me stays live until the next Vodacom website.

I was more sitting on the edge - not quite inside info (but enough to wonder why it takes 4 years to get a consumer facing portal up and going and every year another manager had to take over - lol). You gave away that consultancy name. BTW - the rate was for a regular consultant. The principal guys are almost double.

And they try to sell you freakin' expensive Oracle licenses and Solaris boxes.
Biggest problem with VC: Free Oracle-licensing and consultants = new portal. They throw any available ELA license against the problem until it somewhat works ;-) (or blame it on hardware or hire even more expensive consultants and then implement Web3.0 instead of Web2.0)

Well, it's not like the old Vodacom4me was a functional star, but agreed, the new one is surprisingly more useless.

lol. Like the same "Daily Poll" question that was stuck on the homepage for almost 2 years...

Thanks for that, the last time I tried the vodacom4me site I was automatically diverted to the new vodacom site, so haven't tried it again until now. The detail given on my vodacom on the "new" site is far less than on vodacom4me (eg smses remaining on a promotional bundle).

service @ Vodacom getting worse by the day, dont even let me get started about Vodacom Business

See after another month, website is still ****ty. Try log in, after 5 minutes of waiting, you get a blank page, and the status is 'Done'. Very helpful.
