New WA special?

"Insanely cheap, from R10 per GB"

...... but only if you buy 50gb's and pay R500 a month ..... chops

That looks pretty good actually for medium usage - especially on the 10Mbit/s option.
Wonder if it is sustainable :D

Interesting bits of the TCs:

Top-Ups are charged at standard rates. (Guess that is R69/GB then?)
This offer is available to existing Web Africa customers.

We're also launching a new Top-Up feature on the 3rd of May called Recharge @ R15 p/GB. Recharge bandwidth will expire at month-end though, unlike our prepaid which is more costly, but does have great features: eg: never expires.

Its not a bad offering I must say but I think Ill stay with Mweb for now.

If this become a permanent offering I can see that Webafrica will Compete well with Afrihiost. But it looks like a special so indicates a once off.

I will try the Complete Titan 7 :D For when we get 10mb speeds :D

prices look good.... R200 for 15GB full speed on 4mbit-10mbit line.

and the freezone means free gaming and steam downloads.

It is shaped though...so it might not be full speed for the "important" protocols ;)

I don't know about that but with the 'troubles' of the last few days I had full international access no speed reductions with WA. I only have a 384k line but downloads where going at 42KB/s.

Webafrica has said many times that they do shaping differently. Webafrica said that the shaping really only kicks in when the network is under strain. So I bet you will be able to get full speed on the account with p2p 24/7, since the network is barely loaded cause of the high prices [no offence webafrica just opinion]

Too late.
Nope, it's never too late. These prices look pretty good for a capped offering.

As far as I can remember, the shaped capped accounts prior to uncapped were not shaped very heavily. Most people could still get full speed on all protocols. The current uncapped accounts are heavily shaped, making this a good alternative to people who want decent speeds.

Until Webafrica gets a IPC link in JHB and Durban I think I will pass. Local latency to JHB is to high. My connection goes to CPT then to JHB. Its double the latency.
