Is it just me, or is this banner a bit distasteful?

nope. not distasteful or even too soon.

good ad. it got your attention and it made you read an add. you would have noramlly just skipped over it
 
Anything can upset someone these days... It's sad actually, but it's also the reality - take any ad you see, there will be X who love it, Y who hate it etc and then Z who want to loose their PLOT over it.
 
The colours in their logo offends me. I'm going to go create a facebook group and hellopeter account to moan about how my eyes are hurt every time I look at their logo. Sure, I can stop looking at it and not go to their website, you know, the choice one has when doing things online, but I'd rather have them change it or pay me compensation for how much it offended me.

Ah, the old argumentum ad absurdum... Theatre of the immature and all that. How dare people be upset or uncomfortable with anything that I am not uncomfortable with. Everyone should be like me, because I'm perfect.

As a paying customer of WebAfrica, I would also object to a photo of a naked, newborn baby covered in vernix. It's inappropriate and out of place.

If you want to complain about a banner (I mean really?), do so to your family or friends as supposed to a public forum.

I have a right to complain wherever I so please, mate. If you take issue with my posts, then put me on your ignore list. Problem solved.

Again, resorting to an immature response is a knee-jerk reaction to not being able to debate the point. Let's laugh at whoever thinks a naked baby covered in vernix is an inappropriate ad, because we don't really have a good counter-argument about why exactly the banner must be a naked baby covered in vernix when we're advertising domain prices.

Stop moaning, cancel your account, and go elsewhere then? My "ad absurdum" basically highlights the fact that you have a choice

I'm offended by your post. Please remove it. I'm going to refresh and look at it till you do. And get even more offended when I refresh and you didn't. Because, you know, I don't have a choice.... :erm:
