I want to buy the 16gb nexus 7. Where would I find the cheapest reputable retailer (webantics had it for R3090, but shot up to R3449 un just one week) for how much does esquire stock them at the moment? I am not willing to pay much more than the MSRP of R2999.

Thanks

Frontosa has it listed for R2699 ex vat.
That is about R3077 vat incl.
Do not think you would get it for cheaper. If you do - please let us know!

Just got mine from esquire yesterday for 2599 ex vat
But it's back to 2799 I tthink

Else I would of gone with zakdoc

He's also sold out. Not sure if he'll have more stock coming in though, you can ask.

Esquire should look at the problem people are having buying the Nexus 7 from them.
Seen plenty people on forum asking about the packaging, mine was also tampered with!!
Knowing this i would not have bought it from them..

Makes me think they sell the ones they replaced with customers that return units as faulty ones.
Would realy like to get a response from them about this!

Also my Nexus was on standby when i took it out the box.
That's also strange??

Yes. That is not how you should have gotten it. The device is definitely not shipped in standby. You should have to power it up.

Its obvious that these devices from Esquire were opened, fiddled with and then re packaged. I would really love to know the reason behind this.

when u say standby, do u mean it was on the homescreen? or was it just powered on and at the first setup screen?

I bought RAM from esquire last week and saw the packaging was open, and asked them about this.
They applied a serial number sticker, so it might be the reason why your nexus tables have been opened

I just have the standard serial number sticker on my device

My Boss is looking for something to use as eReader (Kindle) and also store his recipes on, would Nexus 7 be the best to get or Kindle Fire?

Nexus7 hands down. Kindle Fire software is horrible trust me, I had one, and all the services that Amazon offers to incentivize it aren't available in this country. The base KF is now $159 though so might be worth considering if price is critical.
