Anyone else had issues purchasing games on the eshop and getting error 9001-2470 or 2813-2470?

I've been struggling with this error code for months. Tried multiple cards from different banks, purchasing on web browser, no luck whatsoever.

Solved it myself. Only solution I found was to change the region of my account to UK and pay using Paypal option. Must be UK, no other region will work for a Paypal account linked to a SA card. Bit more expensive paying in pounds, but better than not being able to purchase at all.

Strange, ZA Eshop works perfectly fine for me. Bought No More Heroes 1 and 2 last night.

I had to do the same for my 2nd hand Switch. Dunno if the previous owner had the Switch maybe modded or something, but it is frustrating. At least I had PayPal.

Contacting the local support and following their advice was futile:
- Clear console cache.
- Wait for a month, then try again.

Yes I previously managed to fix it by waiting 30 days without trying to purchase anything. Apparently it resets the timer every time you try to enter card details.

No it is definitely not related to modding, it is related to the SA store itself. My Switch is brand new and my girlfriend's as well, and today she also faced the same problem.

Anyone found a solution? I ran into this the first time yesterday and it's driving me nuts. Tried 4 different cards from 3 different banks.
Doesn't matter if I'm trying on desktop, phone or Switch.

I'm also still in the same boat. Got a new card (from the same bank with different card number). No luck. I can only buy from the UK shop with my PayPal account.

After I got the generic answer from Nintendo I just said bugger it and made a UK account and used PayPal. Also made a US account so I can buy eShop vouchers.
Different stores seem to have different deals so might be a good But yea. No joy otherwise.

As an update to anyone finding this. I didn't read the entire response from Nintendo because it's long and boring. But I just read it and spotted this:
The only thing you can do to solve this issue is to not attempt any new credit card purchases for the next 30 days on the account with the issue, because if the card did not work at the time you first tried, and if you tried too many times, the Nintendo Account gets blocked from making purchases with a credit card for 30 days as a security measure, this is something we cannot change.
So when it happens, don't try to buy anything or add cards for 30 days. As I understand it, every time you try, it resets the clock.

A bit more digging and after Nintendo had some card fraud issues previously, they started using an automated State-of-the-art adaptive machine learning fraud prevention. In my case, with the new console, I went on a bit of a buying spree and it makes sense now.

This sucks!!!

Wanted to buy a game on my Wife's switch she got for Xmas, so tried adding funds and it gave that error, tried again with smaller amount and it went through.

Tried to add more funds now and its a no go doesn't matter what amount I try. :(

Oh well guess Nintendo doesn't want my money.

It's apparently some security measure. In my case it was triggered by too many purchases too fast. I supposedly resets the lock after a month. But you have to wait the eniter month otherwise the counter resets. And there's no other way to lift it. What I did was to create a second account with UK location and just used Paypal. You can also buy eshop cards on Amazon but just make sure you buy UK cards for a UK account.
But mine has reset now and I've been able to use the card fine since.

Yeah their system really sucks.

Got around the block by adding funds using a web browser on PC. Worked for some reason, really wanted to buy some games for myself before the sale ends.

On that note found a great site to track deals on Nintendo shop:

They were flooded by fraudulent transaction complaints a while back so I guess overreaction was the plan.

Yea Dekudeals is great. Picked up some nice deals there.

After much jumping through hoops, got in touch with Nintendo Germany. They looked at my situation, done stuff, and now I can use my card... but not on my Switch. I bought stuff no probs for my nephew and neice on their Switches with my card. Oh well...

Tried again to use my card a few days ago, and what do you know, I could use it no problem... Now I'm sweating bullits, as I got an online subscription (don't ask) and I don't know if it will transfer to Switch 2...?

Woe to all ye of impulsive nature.
