Nintendo Switch Game Recommendations?

Where did you buy from?

Edit: PM if not allowed to reveal source

It's pricey I won't lie.

Ordered from Wantitall and had someone accredited install them and calibrate them.

Cost me R1800 for everything, if you need to replace then go for it, I only did it because I hate the sticks that are on the lite. These are much much more sensitive and have a stiffer feel.

Tried Ebay at first but they were pretty useless and ended being banned because the seller overseas didn't want to ship to SA and when I requested the refund they banned me for it.

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to import it from Amazon? Even with import costs

Dona ask me why but bought and playing Sky Force Reloaded

Reminds me very much of Sky Force Anniversary (Also available on Nintendo) That I use to spend hours upgrading my ship back in my PS3 Days. <-- that reminds me again of my 19XX days back in the Arcade :D

Such a simple game but man it just have that something that makes you try and try again...

I can't cope anymore. My Wishlist is overflowing with games. My backlog is ~ 40 games. On one platform. I have not touched my... Wii in months. I wonder how multi-platform gamers do it?

/adds games to wishlist.

Some very interesting details coming out of Gamescom now. Apparently Nintendo demoed Switch2 behind closed doors and the graphical capabilities are impressive, to say the least. DLSS, Matrix Unreal Engine 5, FFVIIR showed at roughly equal to PS5 graphics. The sources of these rumours are quite credible journals like Eurogamer and VGC.

I do believe that its more powerful than PS4 but PS5? yeah that thing won't be portable. Remember reason PS5 And X are the size they are is cause of heat sink.

I'll wait for Official release info.

I don't believe it. If some rumours are to be believed then the new Switch will be rougly PS4 in power with some added new tech like DLSS etc. So if there is a FF7R that runs on the new Switch then it would be comparable to the PS4 version as it's a PS4 game originally, but I seriously doubt it's going to look and run like the PS5 version.

Well keep in mind that it's probably using DLSS to do a lot of heavy lifting, so if it's PS4 levels when undocked and natively generating 720p, it will boost the clocks when docked and then upscale that to whatever native res it's going to be outputting - maybe 4k. It's not going to look as good as a native resolution but it could come closer than you'd think.

Well it would be nice of course, I just personally hope they don't sacrifice too much on the battery life front, that's one of the main benefits of the Switch imo

Yeah, like... take it with a huge grain of salt of course. I'm just saying the sources are pretty credible. Eurogamer were spot on when they leaked the original Switch. Even the clockspeeds were accurate.

From what I understand most if not all of the leaks are from Dev kits, and it's quite possible that said kits are more powerful than the actual system hence me saying we will only know once Nintendo releases actual info.

More information coming out now. 12gb ram, dlss 3.1 (meaning frame generation should be possible), and ray tracing. Hard to believe but all the info from several credible sources is lining up consistently, so ... I dunno, maybe they are going all out for the next hardware generation

Does anyone on the forum own Mario Kart Live? I don't see the point without at least both Mario and Luigi but the price is insane... Just looking out for bargains in the US at the mo, but keen to hear if anyone else has tried it out?

I always thought it would be good for an hour or two, but insane price is insane price. What's it going for? Quick look on Takelaot has it at R2815.
