Nintendo Switch Game Recommendations?

All that effort just to get a basic function like turbo on a standard controller.....

Erm no.
Its to get a Xbox Series controller to work on a Nintendo Switch, the rest (Makro/Turbo/Gyro) is a plus.

And yes I know you can use a 8Bit USB to connect to a Switch but it doesn't come with the added features.

Personally, I just use 8BitDo Pro2 that defaults all of that but still neat if someone loves the Xbox layout and wanna use it on a Switch.

You damn people keep bringing me to the brink of joining the 8BitDo cult..... and then I vacillate between the pro2 and ultimate, wired vs wireless.... and then I look at the prices and stick to my budget aged eurocase that somehow still works.

I do wonder what gyro would be like though.... some games I just can't play because I can't stick aim and just stand there like a drunken idiot.

Zelda and Risk of rain rocks with Gyro....

In fact I don't even think you would be able to last long in Risk of Rain 2 without it.

Can't wait for the RoR1 remake on Switch, but that being said. Hopoo games absolutely ****ed up big time with their RoR2 release on consoles. I'm still bitter about it

Caved and bought some game vouchers. Spent one on Metroid Dread and will save the other one for Super Mario Wonder later this year

Pikmin 4 launches this Friday. I'll wait for the reviews but the demo was received very positively. But I still have a while to go before I can play it because TOTK is still taking up all my gaming time.

Oh the reviews already dropped. Looks good:

I'll get it much later on. Still finishing TotK. All shrines and lightroots are done. Busy with the sidequests before completing the mainstory.

Unless it's a disaster on launch I fully expect Starfield to keep me busy for a few months to come

Yeah Starfield is also looking really great, I hate to admit it. I was skeptical but the latest trailers are very impressive.

If you liked Metroid Prime should give Boltgun a go

Boomer shooters are like the complete opposite of Metroid Prime. Looks cool though.

I reckon I've got about 50 hours left to put into TOTK before I decide I'm fully done with it. Then I have my eyes on Pikmin 4. Although I've been hearing really great things about Cassette Beasts as well.

With the amount of hours my SO put into ToTK I recon I am leaving it for December break. She since moved to something waaay worse in my view: Portal Knights.

Changed my mind
I want a Sony Vista PSP thingy now
My 2nd hand Sony PSP 3006 arrived from BidorBuy today.
Good battery life
All the buttons work
The display is old tech but it looks good, no damages
It suits the old games
The way I remembered it

Kinda like using an old CRT screen with your ZX Spectrum or Atari 2600
The colours just look right
New OLED displays etc are crappy at that low resolution

I'm playing from start on hard mode when I'm done with it this time around...

I have both and the Switch's screen is generations better obviously. The OLED model looks incredible regardless of resolution.

I recommend Steamworld Dig 2 - it starts off a bit slow but becomes incredibly addictive. Looks incredible in hand-held mode.

I can well imagine it looks beautiful.
New tech
This screen on the PSP3000 looks ancient
I kinda love it
