Nintendo Switch Game Recommendations?

My Skull & Co. grip bundle and Bluetooth adapter arrived this morning.

The grip case is amazing. The case itself is rock solid, immaculate quality, perfectly fits the Switch OLED with the biggest grips applied, has grooves along the bottom to prop up the Switch at different angles if you want, it fits 10 game cartridges, the Switch fits even whilst the Bluetooth adapter is plugged in, and no undue pressure is applied between the case, the utility flaps and the Switch itself. There's also a good sized compartment at the bottom for storing additional grip attachments or an entire set of AirPods.

Playing handheld with those grips makes a world of difference. Nintendo really should have done a better job of ergonomics.

As for the Bluetooth adapter, for the life of me I cannot get it to output audio. It seems to be pairing, the lights are exactly as per the packaging and YouTube instructions, but audio simply won't come through. The Switch speakers are used as usual. I've tried both my AirPods Pro and Beats Fit Pro. Waiting for customer support to get back to me. Keen to know what @AfricanTech 's experience with them is once he receives his pair.

Once again thanks for all the effort on your part.

I ordered the adapter for Switch and one for the XBox - will give feedback on both here.

In the meantime, something else arrived yesterday....

So now my Switch is finally going to be connected to an external monitor and I can finish Zelda (not that I have the time given that I'm chest deep in Diablo IV)

Nice! I'd have ordered one too if I didn't already have the Pro Controller.

The MyUS package was a triple box-ception btw, so each of our orders were in their original bigger boxes within the main box. The package you're receiving is the exact units from your order and not mine.

Did you order from overseas? Also looking to get a dedicated controller at some point

Who was it that said Xenoblade 3 is the best game ever? Just bought it on sale off the eShop, with the expansion pass. Better not suck, not exactly a huge discount at 22% off.

There have been rumors of a new 2D Mario. But I have a hard time getting excited about that. I want Mario Odyssey 2
I want something more linear over the open world format. Super Mario Galaxy 2 was one of the best Mario games recently. But I wouldn't say no to an Odyssey type game

Pretty irritating that Super Mario 3D All-Stars doesn't include both the Galaxy games. The second Galaxy game would have been so much better than Super Mario 64 in that bundle.

If you want linear platformers you have Kirby, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin 4 next month, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze etc. Have you played all the first party games?

Haven't played too many first party titles as the pricing is a little prohibitive.

Played Luigi's Mansio....is was ok. Got bored right at the end then stopped. Pikmin 3 was great so am keen for 4.

There are other linear games but Mario does them best

Oh boy, superior 2D is superior! This has me super excited. If true, it should be new worlds, new enemies, new music, new everything on top of the staples. It's no coincidence that the release of New Super Mario Bros on Wii lead to the Wii selling the most consoles in history in one month in the US.

There's also rumours of a SNES remake... Not too excited about that, unless it's 2D Super Metroid.

Nintendo, release the Kraken and announce the [New Super Switch Pro +], you cowards!

Kirby and the Forgotten Land was a blast

Maybe we’ll see something on Metroid Prime 4 as well

I have all the sages in TOTK now. Next stop Korok forest. I believe if you do the sword first, there's an additional cutscene at the end of the last sage... So guess who's playing again from the start....
I'll play in hard mode next time around but want to explore and finish everything first.

Tried the demo and seemed ok. Problem for me is the pricing. I'm prepared to save and buy a game like TotK because I know I am going to be playing it for a long time. I can't justify spending that for a game that gives maybe 20/25 hours of gameplay.
Luigi's Mansion I picked up half price otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it.

Yeah for less than its sale price (R752) Last night, I picked up
Darksiders Genesis - R210
Hades - R225
Hot Wheels - R180

Our collection so far:

Need to pick up a 512Gb SD before we get more. Fresh out of space.

I pick up a lot of my games secondhand from forums and stuff. TOTK I just bought on an impulse because I couldn't stand the thought of waiting. But if you're patient you can pick up bargains on Switch cartridges.
