Nissan Xtrail

I have a 2005 Nissan Xtrail sitting on 153000km atm. Only problem was a sensor (either crank or cam or something begining with a c), replaced at a dealership for R1200 parts & labour.
 
From the problems listed above, parts and labour from the dealership doesn't sound expensive. I bet a BMW sensor would be like R12000...
 
I love my X-Trail. I've got a 2012 4x2 RE and love it. Granted, it isn't the most exciting vehicle in terms of base features and I lost quite a few cool features that I used to have on my previous car which was a Renault Megane, but that totally outweighs the lack of peace of mind I had with the Renault. The X-Trail hasn't given me a single issue and granted, it has only 30,000km on the clock. I think the previous comments on this thread are testament that this car is going to last me well over I've paid it off.

I was looking for an SUV type of vehicle without the huge, huge price tag. I needed the space, ride height, more powerful engine and at R250k I got a demo model with only 3,000k on the clock. Great value for money indeed.

Budget played a huge role in my decision to go for the X-Trail. It was the only car in its class for the price. Just cannot beat that.

cant help but wonder what possesses a designer to look at the centre of the dashboard & think "this is the best place for the speedometer".

and then of course the executive who agree with the bright idea & authorise production
 
I wondering when they will design an xtrail that isnt ugly as sin.
They seem to have managed with their other cars.

They don't, they get told to put it there because it is cheaper to make the car. Only need one dash design for both LHD and RHD models. It is an insult to buyers and needs to be boycotted. The X-Trail is bo where near as ugly as a Duster. Bland it is, very much yes.

I don't think the current one is ugly, but here is the next one...

Just a couple of cosmetic changes then. I like the current shape. Why do all the SUVs have to look a certain way. That new rav4 is butt ugly compared to the one before.

Yes that's a deal breaker on any car, how any person in his right mind could ever even consider driving a car where not all the windows have auto up and down is unthinkable .

What's your feeling on two cigaret lighter plugs, deal breaker ?
 
Drove a new CDi 6 speed manual yesterday . Car looks terrible , inside is very plastic, steers like ship, but man that Diesel engine is very very impressive .
