I ordered a pair of 5850's from a store over the weekend.
( the store owner ) got a call this morning, telling him that he is not allowed to collect and ship the stock until after rAge, due to an agreement signed with some or other store that wants exclusive rights to sell at rAge.
What bugs me is that the store didn't know, and hence I didn't know about this agreement until after the order was placed, surely his supplier has an obligation to tell him about this before he sells the cards?
I'm irritated and confused, perhaps a legal mind wandering the forums could enlighten me?
I bought these cards specifically for rAge, since my old card released the blue smoke a week ago, now I'm stuck with a loan card until they are allowed to ship them.
The store owner asked me not to mention his store here, since the last time someone had a complaint about the supplier, their closed the account.
Edit:
I should probably specify that it's a Sapphire card, I know that ASUS has allready let cards reach consumers.
