Hi I was wonderring. Ive been on a waiting list for a residential Telkom ADSL line since I moved in my house 4 years ago, and still they have no ADSL infrastructure in the area. I have tried Mobile access on MTN, Vodacom and Cell C and this service was extremely erratic. Neotel services the area but at speeds that would be put to shame by snail mail. Currently I am using Iburst, but you are verly much limited in terms of speed. This does become a hassle at times. My question is, are there alternatives I have not though of, or new suppliers that can be used for higher speed internet access?

Have you used an antenna for any of the wireless services you've mentioned? You can't really say that they don't work unless you've tried using them with a high-gain antenna. I'll 99% guarantee you that 3G or iBurst will work flawlessly if you install a high-gain antenna to improve your reception.

Hi Dewey

On Neotel I had an Antenna installed and still, the congestion was so high, even at 100% strength I got speeds that would be put to shame by Dial-up.
