no data connection when upgrading to IOS4

I can`t check mail, go on the web or anything that requires a data connection. Does anyone know how to fix this?
 
try downloading the new carrier settings that itunes suggests
 
mine doesn`t suggest anything? It just says my phone is up to date.
 
when i did my upgrade it prompted me to download these additional carrier settings. try rechecking the following:
settings>network>cellular data network> that your APN is set to iphone.vodacom.co.za (no user name or password).
You can also try reset these settings in this screen
 
nope still nothing. I see it`s a world wide problem when I google it

The APN is actually iphone.vodacom.za (not co.za - don't think that will work)
 
Make your APN:
APN: internet
Username: Blank
Password: Blank

Its wrong if iphone.vodacom.co.za
