No display after installing new GTX960

Jirre, that's a kark one :D

Maybe flash the BIOS with the jumpers on the board? And see if that works? You still have the Mobo installation disc with the drivers?
Eish not sure how to do that.

I have all the drivers. Not on disc. Downloaded it from the website.

If the 550ti worked then surely it has enough power for the 8600?

I just can't see why it won't show display even with the 8600.

What Mobo is it and what Ram do you have in it at the moment?

Update your bios. Something I always do before installing new cards. Put old card back in, boot into windows, download the Bios update program for your board, flash it on the spot and reboot. Should do the trick.

Yes I have. And it worked fine.

Not sure if it pertains to you problem, but I saw this somewhere else

So apparently your motherboard is not PCI 2.0 or your video card is not backwards compatible either way I didn't read everything fully and it's late but hopefully this helps one of the other techs.

Mobo: Gigabyte P67A UD4 B3
RAM: Geil 4X4GB DDR3 1600

Could it be a bios issue since the GTX960 is a PCI 3.0 card and the GTX550 Ti was a PCI 2.0 card (I think)?

PCIe 3.0 is backwards compatible.

Nope, everything is compatible. Seems like everything is pointing to the BIOS I'm afraid. You'll have to get that board updated.

I've had the same problem with my GTX 970. Put the GPU into a different PCI-e x16/x8 slot if you have one. I put my GPU into my 2nd expansion slot and works fine. Still doesn't work in my first slot though.....
