Indeed. If the SABC went with encryption on their set top boxes they could have made a boatload even with extras. And too stupid to see how much they can make from rugby. And how easy it will be to claim a part of it.
Good luck in the getting a satisfactory answer. Can u tell me what streaming sites im interested
DStv premium needs to be around R500 or less before I'd even consider that rip-off.
What really pissed me off is you pay for Premium, plus the PVR, then you need to pay extra to use the built in hard drive and features.
Think he meant paying for the PVR itself and then having to keep paying again to use it.Actually the PVR and HDD functions are paid for under one price. So it's Premium and then you pay extra for the rest of the functions.
Feel exactly the same.. R499 ALL included is a fair price imoI enjoy watching rugby, but I would rather miss the whole Rugby World cup than pay DSTV at their stupid rates.
Their general content is only worth R200pm, so there is no way that I am paying the balance just for the rugby.
I would pay R499 per month for Premium (incl PVR services), not a cent more.
Quite happy to take in a bit of rugby at the sports bars.
Its becuz you are talking utter BS. One doesnt simply set it up and there u go. Its a pain in the fking a$$ and the quality of streams differ from rubbish to utter rubbish. Good luck with that.
Any sort of easy user experience, quality and availability, you only have one choice at the moment
Ok boetComprehend before you post, idiot. There's nothing bs about telling a guy to use the search function to find a thread.
I imagine this is how the corruption and gravy train folks justify their looting to themselves.
"The effort to make money legitimately is just too much with all that white monopoly capital out there". Or something like that.
DSTV is quite a reasonable price if you take Showmax and all the other channels into account. Consider the price of one PS4 or PC game (assuming you don't justify the piracy of that as well).
And once you watch sport in crisp HD, you aint ever going to want to go back.
Don't have to pirate to get it cheaper just wait for steam sales...So no not comparable in price terms...
VPN + ESPN+There's a whole thread on it. StreamIPTV is one of them.
Would be nice to one day hear of a legal alternative. They'll come, DSTV/Multichoice just needs to run out of licensing deals.
It costs nothing.simple, search for a cheap rugby world cup streaming service, it may cost just a few dollars, still cheaper than R1000 a month
Care to share a few?

I'm not sure why they have to have so many world cups so often. I'm sure there was a recent one in 1995/shrug
Couldn't care less about rugby![]()
Different markets. Can't compare the two.Disagree. Netflix is at a reasonable price if you consider what you get, I pay R169, but I have the fancy package with 4 simultaneous streams and 4k, the standard packages are less.
DSTV Premium is completely overpriced. Should be R499 max.
