"No Internet Access"

Its an uncapped account with Telkom.
We did re-enter my username and password which was accepted.

do you recall how to put in your isp username and password?

If so try using the Telkom Guest account

username: guest@telkomadsl
Password: guest

then in your browser go to www.telkom.co.za, i just tested it, the guest account works be it very slowly.

With the Telkom username it accesses Telkom.co.za!

so your router is okay!! thats good news but at the same time bad news, since it tells me the problem lies with your account if we can't fix it ourselves that means relying on telkom which is not good.

try this Password reset

you'll need your isp account username and the cellphone which you've registered with them, it will send you a temp password then you can change it online.

after which try putting it in the router again, remember it will be case sensitive.

I've never accessed my telkomsa.net mailbox.
It says the password was sent there.

hmmm last time i did this it went to a cell number, sorry i'm not with telkom.

I'm on the line with Telkom again, its on-hold for about 25 min now

if i were you i'd sign up for Free 1gb Afrihost, you get 1gb free data every month, no catch. works well in times like these when you need internet to fix the internet lol.
 
you can sign up right now btw they verify after hours too, all you will need to do is send them a scan of your ID or even a picture from your phone if you don't have a scanner..
 
If the settings have all been nuked, you have to enter them all again. A password and username won't cut it.

the guest account works without any tampering just user and password change..?
 
did you come right with them?



please double check the settings in the pdf with the ones on your router.
Feel free to correct whatever. The one's I mention in #34 are the critical ones and have not changed.
