No Internet: Explora, HDPVR or what else?

I'm in a peculiar situation here. Never before had DSTV and I never thought I'd want it.

BUT I can't get Internet like I had at my old home, recently moved to Nelspruit, as Telkom don't have infrastructure, also I'm surrounded by trees so can't get WISP like BitCo. Seeing as we used Internet for all our entertainment needs (Torrenting, gaming, even considering Netflix), LTE is going to be hella expensive.

So now I'm considering getting a damned DSTV subscription, and looking at the Explora as it is now R800/month as advertised here: http://selfservice.dstv.com/self-service/announcements/r799-dstv-premium-package-deal/

But what will I be missing out on with the Explora without it connected to the web? How many of the features, like boxoffice and series on demand, are going though the web now? Am I better off getting an HD PVR?

I know the DSTV won't fill the void left by having a 4 meg uncapped ADSL line, but at least it's something :(

AFAIK currently box office and catch come via the LNB only recent they introduced the internet thing recently - so you should be OK with out internet

Cool thanks. This is just all so damned expensive. Wonder what other hidden costs there are. Also, is it best to go through Multichoice for installation and stuff?
 
It's only about R45 more than normal price so not bad considering next year it will probably be that price.
