No load-shedding expected this weekend

Speaking at a media briefing on Thursday evening, acting Eskom CEO Jabu Mabuza stated that he does not expect any load-shedding to be implemented over the weekend.

Stage 1 load-shedding has been announced for Friday, however, and will be implemented from 09:00 until 23:00.

Thank the lord almighty...IT equipment and power surges do not mix well.

Stage 1 from 9:00 to 12:00 then Stage 2 from 12:00 to 23:00

Unit 3,4 and 5 lost overnight at Medupi

Was there load shedding last night at 20:00? Apps and website said that load shedding was active, yet my area staid on. Not complaining.

Ours came back on at 20:02 for the 18-20:30 schedule, but substation tripped so off until just before midnight.

Go get R3 Billion back from the SABC, because we can't watch TV with no power. Go get R1-2B back from Denel, because why fund weapons for other countries. Go get R20B back from SAA, because who the **** wants to fly SAA anyway.

I could go on.

Why is there not money for Electricity and Water infrastructure, but plenty for all this other bullshit.

I thought they weren't even working properly in the first place, with the flawed designs, behind schedule, etc. Can't really lose something that wasn't there contributing in the first place
