No Man's Sky

Not yet finished this expedition :-( as I got into playing last night bam power failure :-( was like argh. Hopefully will be able to finish it soon.

It's a quick expedition if you don't wander around like I do :laugh: @Binary_Bark had a bug preventing finishing the expedition and replayed it in 3 hours I believe.

Edit: Sorry about the power failure :crying: Didn't you have a handheld gaming device you used as well?

I do :-( but the save would need to move across.

It is a cloud save, but it still needs to push to the cloud first :) so when firing up my Ally it was the previous one as the new one hadn't pushed yet. Seems it only really pushes to the cloud when you're finished playing.
 
Finished that Expedition, only thing that took a bit longer, the bonefish and the poop :).
Though eventually just found a field full of 4 legged things and fed them over and over and over. They were pooping everywhere.

Yeah I did the poop collecting on a paradise planet with many groups of animals which made it fairly easy! The bonefish took a while to wait for night time but while waiting I learned from Reddit that you can lower the sea floor to make the required water depth :ROFL:

I tried many different planets :-( then found a waterworld around the fourth GPFS co-ord, that place was 860u deep, so it was really really deep. That allowed me to get it after about 2 minutes.
Even tried editing the ocean floor but even at 100u it just didn't seem deep enough.

Just happened to be the planet :), was awesome though massive waves. I landed on the sunny side first, took off and went around the planet to the dark side, I followed the night

Those water planets are impressive! I should have thought to fly to the dark side but instead mucked around while waiting for night to fall :ROFL: Friend wanted to build a base on a water planet but couldn't get deep enough to put the base computer down (didn't have all the equipment for deep diving in the expedition) and eventually managed to construct on top of the exo-skiff!

Yeah heard of guys doing that :). But I've gotten so used to aqua jets i just land on water and that becomes my fishing spot :).
Pity can't pull out a deck chair

Yup, I can't be bothered with the exo-skiff and also just fish from my ship. Seems more stable as well.

Was wondering about that! I think I've been lucky not to encounter any giant waves while trying to fish, although I was fishing from a friend's ship and it kept inching me towards the edge until I fell in the water and KEPT FISHING :laugh:

The waves were so high at one stage my starship was under the water and I was washed deep down into the ocean a few times. It was hectic.

A friend arrived on one of those water planets and think there was a storm/mist and was shocked when the "mountains" turned out to be waves!
