No Man's Sky

Expedition 20 is done & dusted.

Now to play with my new parts....
And here I am still wandering around in the expedition doing random things  Also waiting to play with a friend on PS5 because they released an update for PC only so we have a version mismatch.

Haven't even started it yet :(

I paused it and left it after reaching the second point or whatever. Game is so buggy it just annoyed the hell out of me and the solution to everything seems to be to "turn off multiplayer".

A bit over it. NMS is starting to show its age, I don't even like the corvettes. I was perfectly happy in the ship they gave me at the start of the expedition :)

Yep, you guessed it, my main save is now stuck on PC. Was playing NMS yesterday while the TV was occupied. Checked this morning on Xbox.

Lucky/unlucky I played on my work laptop instead of my wife's Switch, so at least there is that :D

I'm sorry, I really shouldn't be laughing, but am enjoying the saga of your main save  They do seem to release some updates to PC first resulting in the version mismatch for a few days but its always been resolved as my friend and I manage to mostly play together.

Yeah, unfortunately the turn off multiplayer solution is often used. It can pay to delay starting an expedition. I started immediately with a new save and was really struggling to find upgrades. It seemed I could only get them randomly through searching for loot. Then after they released an update, suddenly the suspicious packets are available to buy at some stations and I know they weren't there. Did make it a bit easier for me!

I'm also not into the corvettes, will only use it when I have to and switch back to my fighter whenever possible. I just can't seem to produce a nice looking, sleek corvette.

Serious question: why would anybody follow a guide for these expeditions? They're not exactly difficult and most if the fun is figuring stuff out. If you have a guide it's just a rush to get through it.

Just looking for the loot, no real interest in the expeditions themselves?
Yup i didnt, but i was a complete idiot in this one and had to look up some info. i jumped through the black hole at the end of leg 4 and it put me million light years from the expedition, i spent 4 hours jumping to try get back to expedition and finally looked up what to do only to find out that the stations even though they stripped down and abandoned still have teleporters tucked at the back and i could just teleport back to last station on the expedition route :cautious:

I suspect it's running for only 3 weeks because of the end of year redux expeditions, so there is a good chance you can play it then.
Hopefully :-) cause I've not really been in the mood for gaming right now.

I'm really sorry about your black hole misadventure but it makes for a great story!! Glad you found the teleporter. I probably spent 4 hours trying to get upgrades before they added the suspicious packets.

I've also been on a mission to unlock all the spaces in the exosuit, a really unnecessary task in an expedition but I'm just enjoying exploring planets and collecting things.

Generally if that happens (cause I've had it). I look for a space station, go to bases and find a base close to the expedition point I left off at, takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
So sometimes what I do is build a small base I can teleport back to.

I just wanted the new parts for the ship builder :D

Sorry about the gaming thing, happens to all of us at times I'm sure. Hopefully the break does you good, not worth forcing yourself to do something that should be fun!
