In this expedition we're dealing with an abandoned universe and the space stations aren't fully functional, so wasn't super obvious that there was a teleporter available. If you're able to build a basic base and a teleporter then that should also allow you to return.

Like you, I also drop bases if I want to return, usually just the base computer.

That might look better! I keep making squares that fly :laugh:

I'll post a screenshot later, worked on it for too long yesterday and decided just to go with it. It's an expedition one that won't last anyway!

I really struggle with trying to hide the "guts" of the ship e.g. reactors, shield generators etc. Sometimes some of the decorative parts will merge with them and sometimes they don't. Maybe I must just build bigger and then layer the decorative parts over everything. Walked into my corvette yesterday and parts of the reactors were in the hab.

Incorporate their looks into the build :). Don't have to hide them if you can just make them part of it. Gives a nice aesthetic to some ships like it's functional

I like everything to match and prefer a sleek design so some of the parts just don't work in my design but I want them for the stats. Maybe I can just have one reactor/weapon/shield part and improve stats with upgrades instead? Been trying to get majority of the stats improved through adding parts.

Took me waaaaay too long to build this, trying to get the decorative parts to cover up the functional parts. Far too wide but also didn't want to run too far to get to the cockpit.

I definitely prefer the shape of yours! Think I must build longer ships like @Lupus was suggesting. Those wing things you have at the back are nice!!

You managed to hide a shield generator somewhere? I sometimes put them at the bottom but then it doesn't look great when the ship lands if I have all this junk underneath.

I normally glitch em into wings or such, samw with weapons.

PS: Expedition parts = worth it;

Just slapping them onto a box and you get:

Pity you cant change the Red to blue and such.

I must look into glitching, sometimes I get things to merge but other times not, maybe there is a trick I need to learn.

Those new parts look good, would be nice to change colour but I'm okay with black and red as a colour theme!
