I see no need for any other ship weapons when you have the butter knife :ROFL:

I check all the tasks in the different phases and plan ahead where I can. I also check for any easy tasks to get done quickly and any that might take extra time (like the frigate missions). They sometimes adjust the expeditions slightly on re-release so tasks could be changed a bit from the original.

Yeah checking now, seems to be a quick expedition
 
3 phases easily done, though only 1 of the optionals :(

You made great progress!! I've got a parent in hospital so less time for gaming right now but managed to make a start last night. Spent 30 mins in my main save gathering a few things to take with me. Still mucking around in the first phase but done a few tasks from other phases.

Was your initial ship badly placed? I had to scale a mountain to get to mine although it doesn't use jetpack fuel to go straight up a cliff face, was just a bit disconcerting hehe.

Sorry to hear about the parent, hope for a speedy recovery.

Yeah it was horribly placed and took me ages to get to it :(. A buddies ship was in a nice plain and he had it in about 5 minutes. Though i did do a few other phases things on the starting planet while getting to my ship.

Thanks for the kind wishes.

I’m not considering those sentinel kills until I get my proper multi-tool from the anomaly :ROFL: That bolt caster didn’t even do a great job with the animals that kept attacking me on the first planet hehe. Hoping to get some more gaming time this weekend and maybe get the expedition finished. The first planet was good for gathering supplies and I’ve just visited a frozen planet that gave me huge amounts of carbon and oxygen from some plants in a cave. Now need to focus on getting some expedition things done!

That frozen planet is where I built my base :). Right near a settlement and a trade post, sadly the settlement was taken.
So I spawned right next to a manufacturing plant, so went into the building and took them out way.

Good thinking with the manufacturing plant! I've just landed on an extreme heat planet and got some storm crystals. Don't think I will be putting my base here, maybe back to the frozen one!

The verdant or frozen are probably the best spots, cause then it gives you hyper drive to get the anomaly

Just realised I needed to get on with the base so I can get the hell out of here and get my good ship and multi-tool :ROFL:

Yup first you need ferrite dust, cause of the round rooms

Yeah it is a looker. My game crashed a few times, this expedition but on loading it was fine
Ok so a trick i learnt from the cursed eexpedition. Make sure you make some changes to the ship. When you end the expedition use nanites to copy the ship. Then go claim the ship from the quick silver guy :).
Didn't do it this round as I wanted to see if I could duplicate my sentimental. Which I couldn't :(. But I did duplicate the staff

So if you make changes to the ship then you can copy it and also get another one from the quick silver guy?
You were also trying to bring across your sentinel ship? I guess if your sentinel ship was the main ship when you transferred back then maybe you could have copied it and just collected the Starborn Runner from the quick silver guy.

Is the staff an expedition reward or just something you got in your travels?

It's an expedition reward, as you can also claim it :).
Yeah that's how I ended up with a herald Bounty and nmy p4 or something which is the same ship but with that weird name.
Yeah so I took my sentinel across to the expedition, but couldn't bring it back after :(. Oh well did take off the tech I wanted and carried it across.
