No Man's Sky

Have a few new builds myself. Deleted my previous bases, with 6 new ones.
1. Curious Deposit
2. Emril
3. Cadmium
4. Indium
5. Phosphorus
6. Think was just on a pretty planet

Looking now to build more mining farms, specially for dioxide and silver

So like most of my bases (all two) look weathered and rusted :-( trying to fix it, they just switch back to rust.

Lots of complaints about players bases look has changed after the last update, hopefully it would be fixed soon. One bas was nice and shiny, not anymore.
Had to go trough each part and change the appearance again.

And did it stick when you changed the parts? People on reddit were saying it changed to the rusted look again.

Mine switched back to rusted look/weathered, unless you pull the part and put it back. But doing that breaks other things, I now need to sort out my wiring again :-).

And the wiring is why I use all cuboids and hopefully my glass ones won't appear rusted when I eventually play again

Nah the cuboid or prefabs look fine, it's the other structures :-).
I can't do just cuboids after I started fiddling with the other parts, cuboids are for hiding things under my base, like storage and such.

yeah I'm only making a base because I have to, not even pretending to have a design in mind hehe. I can see the other parts are way more fun for those who want to actually design something.

Can highly recommend Quartzite.
Straight up 1:2 to Chromatic effectively. And then...
  • Cadmium -- Cadmium x1 + Chromatic Metal x1 → Cadmium x2 ("Chromatic Expansion", 0.36 sec./unit output)
  • Copper -- Copper x1 + Chromatic Metal x1 → Copper x2 ("Chromatic Expansion", 0.36 sec./unit output)
  • Emeril -- Emeril x1 + Chromatic Metal x1 → Emeril x2 ("Chromatic Expansion", 0.36 sec./unit output)
  • Indium -- Indium x1 + Chromatic Metal x1 → Indium x2 ("Chromatic Expansion", 0.36 sec./unit output)
With infinite Chromatic, you can always double up however much of these elements you have on hand. Ofc Chromatic is useful in and of itself for many things, and throughout storylines.

Got bit of a fright first visit down in the deep, pitch dark and all of a sudden a glimpse in the faint exo-suit light, something massive, fast and dark passes by
One of those big squids?

On one planet I dove down to some crazy depth, and at one point found a sort of layer, like you see in some deep sea footage where there's a brine lake.

Sorta like that, but just everywhere.

It looked scary AF (I have a bit of a fear of depths). I tried going deeper, but it just kept pushing me back. Like I'd go in a bit, and then I'd be popped out again.

Pretty sure it was a glitch of some sort. Maybe with the procedural generator, maybe with the connection.

But it was scary, to me, lol Being in my suit only at what was incredibly deep didn't help 😓

Haha, yes. Gone through two layers like that, need the Nautilon to get past and or that pressure lattice thing.
